With summer approaching, we feel a need to add more fruits to our diets. While picking up some fresh produce at the grocery store the other day, we got the urge to check out the mangoes in the hopes of finding some Indian mangoes. We walked over to inspect, knowing that the bright red mangoes were not from India, and sure enough they were from Mexico. However, almost hidden beside the giant red mangoes were smaller yellow mangoes that looked and smelt just like some of the ones that our Nana grows in his back yard. Even though they were a bit expensive (4 for $5 USD) we picked some up. As soon as we got home and put the groceries away, we got out our blender and made Mango Shakes!
Mango Shake
1 serving
1 ripe mango diced
¾ c. milk
3-4 ice cubes
sugar to taste
Throw all ingredients into the blender and blend well!
