Turkish Delight - Muzlu Sut

I have very little experience cooking Middle Eastern Cuisine, although I do enjoy eating it. I have had quite a lot of Turkish food as my best friend is from Turkey. So it was an easy choice for me as to which country to pick! From my experience, I have found that in Turkey, they like to eat a lot of meats, especially beef, lamb, and seafood. So finding a Turkish vegetarian dish was something I had never looked for before. I hope that you all don’t think I took the easy way out by making a beverage, however, I liked this drink so much that it has become a part of my weekly diet!

Muzlu Sut
1 serving

1 banana
1 t. ground blanched almonds
1 t. honey
1 c. milk

In a blender or food processor, blend banana until smooth. Add ground almonds and honey and blend again until smooth. Add milk and blend. Enjoy!

I am submitting this dish to the A.W.E.D. – Middle Eastern Cuisine Event created by Dhivya of DK’s Culinary Bazaar and hosted this month by Siri of Siri’s Corner.

Oooh, that looks really good. I thought it was called a "Muzly Slut" at first, which was funny and confusing. I need to try this the next time I have bananas in the house!

Thanks so much everyone. I recommend this one highly. If it's a little bitter, add a bit of sugar!
